Retail Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent to build high-performing teams
• Partner with the Store Manager to drive business growth and operational excellence
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences by modeling selling behaviors and product knowledge
• Set and reinforce performance expectations, results goals, and accountability for all associates
• Act as manager on duty to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues
• Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits and shipment receipt
• Train, coach, and motivate associates to improve selling skills and customer engagement
• Maintain store visual standards by implementing floorset direction and product stories
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to all safety standards and policies

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience in a management role, preferably within a retail setting
• Strong customer-first mindset with the ability to foster a selling culture
• Effective communication skills and the ability to provide real-time coaching to associates
• Ability to de-escalate customer or store situations effectively
• Availability to work peak retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Ability to perform constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
