About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Perform low voltage cabling runs (ethernet, coax) using personal tools
  • Support and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS) systems, terminals, and printers
  • Travel to restaurant locations across the Greater Boston area for on-site support
  • Perform installations and maintenance during evening or off-hours to minimize disruption
  • Document work performed, site configurations, and client communications

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with computer networking (subnets, VLANs, DHCP, routing, wireless)
  • Hands-on experience and personal tools for low voltage cabling
  • Reliable transportation for travel throughout Greater Boston
  • Availability for occasional evening and off-hours work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting restaurant POS systems like Toast, Square, or Aloha
  • Background in hospitality or food service
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or BICSI
