About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, and wireless access points
- Perform low voltage cabling runs (ethernet, coax) using personal tools
- Support and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS) systems, terminals, and printers
- Travel to restaurant locations across the Greater Boston area for on-site support
- Perform installations and maintenance during evening or off-hours to minimize disruption
- Document work performed, site configurations, and client communications
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with computer networking (subnets, VLANs, DHCP, routing, wireless)
- Hands-on experience and personal tools for low voltage cabling
- Reliable transportation for travel throughout Greater Boston
- Availability for occasional evening and off-hours work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting restaurant POS systems like Toast, Square, or Aloha
- Background in hospitality or food service
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or BICSI
