Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards for food quality, service timeliness, and guest relations
• Manage staff performance through recruitment, training, scheduling, and motivational pre-shift meetings
• Maintain the restaurant atmosphere by monitoring lighting, temperature, music volume, and cleanliness
• Handle financial duties including cash handling, bank management, and accurate accounting close-outs for special events
• Monitor labor costs and overtime to ensure operational efficiency
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and liquor law standards
• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide guidance to staff to execute outstanding guest service

Requirements

• 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant or music hall environment
• Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
• High School diploma
• Working knowledge of restaurant operations and state, federal, and local liquor laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work late hours and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced, loud environment
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Point of Sale systems, preferably MICROS
• Some college education or a completed college degree
