About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Italian restaurant to ensure smooth service and an authentic guest experience
- Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house and kitchen teams on Italian service standards and cuisine knowledge
- Handle guest complaints professionally to preserve relationships and uphold Italian hospitality standards
- Plan staff schedules and manage attendance to ensure adequate coverage for peak service and special events
- Coordinate with chefs and pizzaiolo to ensure timely production of authentic Italian dishes
- Monitor hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in compliance with local regulations and food safety standards
- Control inventory and ordering, prioritizing authentic Italian ingredients to minimize waste
- Drive sales and profitability through menu engineering, wine pairings, and upselling
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and coach employees on service and menu development
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in Italian or casual dining
- Strong leadership and team-management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and local health regulations
- Financial awareness, including budgeting, cost control, and revenue management
