Restaurant Cashier

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service
• Take customer orders accurately and input them into the POS system
• Process cash, credit, or debit transactions securely and efficiently
• Issue receipts, refunds, or change as needed
• Answer customer questions about menu items, specials, or promotions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station
• Assist with seating arrangements or guiding customers to tables
• Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally
• Balance cash register at the end of each shift and prepare cash deposits
• Support other restaurant staff as needed during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred
• Strong arithmetic and basic math skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
