Responsible Welding Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Act as the designated Responsible Welding Coordinator in accordance with EN 1090 requirements
• Ensure all welding activities comply with EN 1090, EN ISO 3834, and relevant EN ISO welding standards
• Develop, review, approve, and control Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), WPQR, and WQRs
• Maintain welding traceability in line with execution class (EXC) requirements
• Ensure welders are appropriately qualified and coordinate training, renewals, and upskilling
• Provide technical welding support to fabrication, production, and QA teams
• Support the resolution of welding non-conformances, repairs, and corrective actions
• Liaise with QA/QC personnel, inspectors, and third-party auditors to support inspection and testing activities
• Promote best practices related to welding safety, fumes, and environmental controls

Requirements

• Experience working across multiple execution classes (EXC1–EXC3)
• Proven experience in a structural steel fabrication or industrial fabrication environment
• Strong working knowledge of EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
• Strong attention to detail and documentation control skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognized welding qualification such as IWS, IWT, or IWE
• Experience supporting third-party audits and notified body assessments
