Responsibilities

  • Act as a Responsible Officer (RO) and own the SFC Type 1 and 4 licence application and maintenance processes
  • Supervise regulated activities and liaise with the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC)
  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Conduct thorough reviews of operations, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and respond to enquiries or requests from the SFC
  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide guidance and advice on licensing matters and maintain relationships with external legal and compliance professionals

Requirements

  • Current holder of Type 1 and Type 4 licences with a history of licence maintenance
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial services with a focus on licensing and regulatory compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong securities and futures regulations (SFO and relevant codes)
  • Familiarity with the virtual asset industry and blockchain technology preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with regulatory bodies and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
