About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the industrialization of production and special processes, ensuring product designs are optimized for manufacturing.
  • Organize co-engineering and industrial development to ensure manufacturing transferability using standard processes.
  • Manage industrialization resources during tender phases, development, pre-series, and mass production.
  • Oversee special processes and critical operations related to product safety and reliability.
  • Drive the site's digitalization strategy and the development of industrial IT tools.
  • Manage industrial layouts and ensure manufacturing equipment is implemented according to EHS and QCD objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, including workload planning and skill development.
  • Monitor performance metrics including Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) and support continuous improvement actions.

Requirements

  • Generalist engineer degree in industrial components (mechanical, electrical, or industrial computing).
  • Minimum of 10 years of industrial experience, preferably within the railway industry or an international organization.
  • Proven experience in process engineering, including work instruction drafting, line balancing, and Lean manufacturing.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead technical teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP) for managing BOMs, routings, and configuration tracking.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global or international organizational structure.
  • Expertise in driving digital transformation and industrial IT solutions within a manufacturing site.
