Respite Peer Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with identifying personal recovery methods and developing self-management plans
• Participate in developing Individualized Action Plans (IAPs) and consumer self-management plans
• Support community integration through resource navigation, membership encouragement, and stigma reduction
• Provide side-by-side interventions focusing on problem solving, skills training, modeling, optimism, and encouragement
• Assist consumers in achieving goals and developing skills for more independent living

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Must be receiving or have received mental health services with established recovery process and self-knowledge to manage mental illness
