Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic measures for patients with lung and respiratory diseases
• Conduct non-invasive and invasive ventilation including weaning, airway, and secretion management with monitoring
• Perform inhalation and oxygen therapy
• Collaborate closely within the therapeutic team
• Provide information, counseling, and training to patients
• Select and train staff on inhalation devices, oxygen and ventilation equipment, and mask adjustments
• Provide training and further education to nursing and medical staff
• Manage cases and transitions

Requirements

• Completed further training as a respiratory therapist (Atmungstherapeut m/w/d)
• Completed vocational training in nursing, speech therapy, physiotherapy, or occupational therapy
• Experience in ventilation, intensive care, or pulmonology is ideal
• Independent and structured way of working
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed further training in "Specialized Nursing for Intensive Care"
