Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of department policies and procedures
• Perform support activities including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and setup
• Operate various types of respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease
• Identify and implement components of the respiratory process
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory needs and learning requirements
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Current, valid, and active license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with computer and software applications used in respiratory functions
