Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of department policies and procedures
• Set up, operate, and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment
• Identify and implement components of the respiratory process for patients with critical or chronic conditions
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory needs and learning requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery journeys
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage equipment inventory

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
• Ability to make independent decisions and manage complex clinical situations

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in critical care and/or artificial airway and ventilator care
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills
