About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of department policies and procedures
- Set up, operate, and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment
- Identify and implement components of the respiratory process for patients
- Educate patients and families regarding respiratory needs and learning requirements
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency with computer applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Ability to make independent decisions and prioritize tasks in a clinical setting
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in critical care or artificial airway and ventilator care
- Experience working in a Long-Term Acute care Hospital (LTACH) setting
