Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Conduct full respiratory assessments and evaluate patient test results
• Provide oxygen therapy, clinical, and ventilatory support to clients
• Determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
• Deliver necessary equipment and supplies to patients
• Educate patients on the proper usage of products and services
• Identify discrepancies in respiratory treatments and communicate them to the care team
• Complete all required documentation and forms to initiate therapy
• Prepare funding documents and facilitate payments
• Provide follow-up care to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans
• Liaise with medical professionals to support business growth

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed with the provincial governing body
• Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Clear vulnerable persons check
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule
• Proficiency in Microsoft, Google applications, and Android
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the healthcare field
