About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct full respiratory assessments and evaluate test results
  • Initiate and manage CPAP and oxygen therapy for clients
  • Develop respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
  • Provide patient education on product usage and service compliance
  • Perform home environment safety assessments and equipment quality control checks
  • Deliver medical equipment and supplies to patients as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate funding processes
  • Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule

Requirements

  • Working towards Registered Respiratory Therapist status
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Valid driver’s license and a clear vulnerable persons check
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications, and Android
  • Previous experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset
