About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct full respiratory assessments and evaluate test results
- Initiate and manage CPAP and oxygen therapy for clients
- Develop respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians and care teams
- Provide patient education on product usage and service compliance
- Perform home environment safety assessments and equipment quality control checks
- Deliver medical equipment and supplies to patients as required
- Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate funding processes
- Participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule
Requirements
- Working towards Registered Respiratory Therapist status
- Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
- Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Valid driver’s license and a clear vulnerable persons check
- Working knowledge of Microsoft, Google applications, and Android
- Previous experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset
