Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to patients and caregivers on the proper use of respiratory equipment and care procedures
• Perform clinical assessments and tests, including pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and vital signs
• Manage and operate various respiratory care equipment such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, apnea monitoring, and ventilation
• Conduct routine patient follow-up contacts and maintain accurate medical records and care plans
• Consult with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical conditions, and plans of care
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition and perform accurate data entry for monitoring

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• NBRC registration or certification
• Current RCP license in the state of practice
• Current CPR Certification
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance for patient home visits

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of related respiratory therapy experience
• Bilingual skills (reading, writing, and verbal)
