Respiratory Physiologist

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and interpret clinical respiratory investigations including spirometry, gas transfer, and lung volume measurements
• Provide detailed, factual reports to inform clinical diagnoses for respiratory and non-respiratory physicians
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of equipment to ensure high safety standards
• Liaise with medical staff and participate in research and audit projects
• Stay updated with advancements in pulmonary physiology, sleep medicine, and ventilation techniques
• Demonstrate compassionate leadership within a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• BSc in Respiratory Clinical Physiology, Biological Sciences, or equivalent
• Significant experience working in a Lung Function Laboratory
• Proven ability to independently perform, interpret, and report on lung function tests
• Experience in sleep medicine and ventilation techniques
• Strong understanding of pulmonary physiology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
