Respiratory Physiologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory tests including spirometry, lung volume measurements, and gas transfer tests
• Interpret test results and provide accurate reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Provide patient education on respiratory health and management strategies
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment in compliance with health and safety standards

Requirements

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
• Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g., RCCP or AHCS)
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting respiratory tests
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current respiratory care guidelines
