Respiratory Care - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed by the department for face-to-face courses
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department policies
• Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies and instructional technology
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
• Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters
• Maintain confidentiality of student information

Requirements

• Associate's degree in the content area or a related field
• Minimum of two years of working experience in the field or industry
• Active license to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Ohio
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Demonstrated skills in using modern educational technology and multimedia-based instruction
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work within a culturally diverse community

Preferred Qualifications

• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience
• Demonstrated commitment to improving student learning through innovative strategies
