Residential Worker

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial client screenings and complete intake processes for individuals seeking admission.
• Register clients, assign beds, and manage meal ticket distribution according to approved procedures.
• Perform hourly security rounds of the main floor, dining hall, kitchen, dorms, and exterior premises.
• Document all activities and incidents accurately in the Log Book and Incident Book.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the front desk and food storage areas.
• Participate in the Harm Reduction Program, including providing safe supply and client-centered supports.
• Contact emergency services (police/ambulance) when necessary and complete required incident reports.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and staff records.

Requirements

• Post-Secondary Education preferred, or a combination of education and related life experience.
• Current WHMIS, First Aid, and CPR certificates.
• Ability to undergo a successful Vulnerable Sector Screening and background checks.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Proficiency with computer equipment, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with socially disadvantaged individuals.
• Flexibility to work a permanent full-time schedule (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday).
