About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide physical care and implement programming to assist residents with individual treatment plans
- Supervise and monitor resident movement, activity, and rule compliance
- Assess and respond appropriately to resident behaviors, attitudes, and dispositions
- Document daily shift activities, observations, and incident reports
- Assist residents with health, hygiene, and social/independent living skills
- Perform intake and discharge procedures and conduct program orientations
- Maintain a healthy environment by overseeing the appearance and cleanliness of living spaces
- Transport residents to outside activities using a 15-passenger van as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days of hire
- First Aid/CPR certification prior to first independent shift
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet navigation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience in the human services field
- Coursework or training in human development, chemical dependency, or group dynamics
- Experience in residential treatment or related disciplines
