About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical care and implement programming to assist residents with individual treatment plans
  • Supervise and monitor resident movement, activity, and rule compliance
  • Assess and respond appropriately to resident behaviors, attitudes, and dispositions
  • Document daily shift activities, observations, and incident reports
  • Assist residents with health, hygiene, and social/independent living skills
  • Complete intake and discharge procedures and conduct program orientations
  • Transport residents to outside activities using a 15-passenger van as needed
  • Maintain a healthy and clean living environment for residents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days of hire
  • First Aid/CPR certification prior to first independent shift
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet navigation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in the human services field
  • Coursework or training in human development, chemical dependency, or group dynamics
  • Experience in residential treatment or related disciplines
