Residential Treatment Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide physical care and implement programming to assist residents with individual treatment plans.
• Supervise and monitor resident movement, activity, and rule compliance.
• Assess and respond appropriately to resident behaviors, attitudes, and dispositions.
• Document daily shift activities, observations, and incident reports.
• Assist residents with health, hygiene, and social/independent living skills.
• Perform intake and discharge procedures and conduct program orientations.
• Maintain a healthy environment by overseeing the appearance and cleanliness of living spaces.
• Transport residents to outside activities using a 15-passenger van as needed.
• Oversee resident family and sponsor visitations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Agency Affiliated Counselor certification within 60 days of hire.
• First Aid/CPR certification prior to the first independent shift.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet navigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience in the human services field.
• Coursework or training in human development, chemical dependency, group dynamics, or residential treatment.
