About the role
Responsibilities
- Form and maintain professional, nurturing relationships with children and young people through active engagement
- Act as an appropriate adult role model to help develop life skills and self-worth
- Support family involvement and facilitate connections to promote positive family relationships
- Promote and encourage positive relationships with peers and other significant persons
- Assist children and young people in participating in decisions regarding their daily activities
Requirements
- Tertiary studies in a relevant field or active enrollment in a Certificate IV (Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Youth Work, Disability, or Mental Health)
- Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- Valid Senior First Aid and CPR Certification
- Safe Environments Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- South Australian Working with Children Check
- Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including weekdays, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays
