About the role

Responsibilities

  • Form and maintain professional, nurturing relationships with children and young people through active engagement
  • Act as an appropriate adult role model to help develop life skills and self-worth
  • Support family involvement and facilitate connections to promote positive family relationships
  • Promote and encourage positive relationships with peers and other significant persons
  • Assist children and young people in participating in decisions regarding their daily activities

Requirements

  • Tertiary studies in a relevant field or active enrollment in a Certificate IV (Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Youth Work, Disability, or Mental Health)
  • Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
  • Valid Senior First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Safe Environments Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • South Australian Working with Children Check
  • Ability to work a 24/7 roster, including weekdays, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays
