About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a designated team of high school participants during the Robert L. Johnson Leadership Academy (RLJLA) Summer Institute
- Accompany students through their daily schedule, including coursework, field trips, and small group activities
- Ensure all participants adhere to program rules and guidelines
- Monitor the safety and well-being of participants throughout the program and during overnight residential hours
- Participate in mandatory training workshops and staff debriefing sessions
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum of junior standing at a four-year university
- Age 20 or older
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Experience working with children or young adults
- Dependable and able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Resident Assistant (RA), mentor, or camp counselor
Benefits
- $2,000.00 stipend
