About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the orderly operation of the Robert L. Johnson Leadership Academy (RLJLA) Summer Institute
  • Lead one of five assigned teams consisting of high school participants
  • Accompany students throughout their daily schedule, including coursework, field trips, and small group activities
  • Ensure all participants adhere to program rules and regulations
  • Monitor the safety of participants during program hours and overnight residential hours

Requirements

  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Minimum of junior standing at a four-year university
  • At least 20 years of age
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Experience working with children or young adults
  • Dependable and able to pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Resident Assistant (RA), mentor, or camp counselor
