About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational/vocational programs
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage
- Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members
- Perform direct support duties including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living
- Promote person-centered supports that foster independence, choice, and dignity
- Assist with household management and maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment
- Communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience (or a two-year degree in a related field)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in residential services
