About the role

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational/vocational programs
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage
  • Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members
  • Perform direct support duties including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living
  • Promote person-centered supports that foster independence, choice, and dignity
  • Assist with household management and maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment
  • Communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience (or a two-year degree in a related field)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
  • Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in residential services
