Residential Installation & Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and service changes for voice, video, and data services in residential settings
• Troubleshoot broadband connections from the tap to customer equipment using coaxial, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi technologies
• Design and optimize home Wi-Fi networks by determining appropriate device placement and managing interference
• Educate customers on products, services, and equipment usage to ensure a high-quality experience
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment, including ladders and testing meters
• Complete accurate digital record-keeping and work order management
• Perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, poles, and working in confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more
• Ability to climb ladders, poles, and work at heights using safety equipment
• Technical knowledge of coaxial and Ethernet cabling
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and variable schedules, including nights and weekends
