Residential Installation & Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and service changes for voice, video, and data services in residential settings
• Troubleshoot broadband connections from the tap to customer equipment using coaxial, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi technologies
• Design and optimize home Wi-Fi networks by determining appropriate device placement and managing interference
• Complete field assessments and maintain accurate digital records of all work performed
• Operate and maintain installation tools, ladders, and company vehicles safely
• Perform physical tasks including climbing poles, working on roofs, and navigating confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces
• Educate customers on products, services, and equipment usage to ensure a high-quality experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more
• Ability to climb ladders, poles, and work in high places using safety equipment
• Technical knowledge of coaxial and Ethernet cabling
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
