Residential Installation & Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and service changes for voice, video, and data services in residential settings
• Troubleshoot broadband connections from the tap to customer equipment using coaxial, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi technology
• Assess and design basic home networks, including optimal Wi-Fi device placement and channel utilization
• Educate customers on products, services, equipment usage, and company policies
• Maintain and stock company vehicles and equipment, ensuring all tools are in proper working order
• Complete accurate record-keeping and digital work order management in a timely manner
• Perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, poles, and working in confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces
• Drive company vehicles safely to various job sites

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more
• Ability to climb ladders, poles, and work at heights using safety equipment
• Technical knowledge of coaxial and Ethernet cabling
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
