Residential Installation & Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and service changes for broadband, voice, video, and data services
• Troubleshoot connections from the tap to customer equipment using coaxial, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi technology
• Assess and design basic home networks and determine optimal Wi-Fi device placement
• Educate customers on products, services, equipment usage, and company policies
• Maintain, clean, and stock company vehicles and installation tools
• Complete accurate record-keeping and digital work order management
• Perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, poles, and working in confined spaces like attics or crawl spaces
• Drive company vehicles safely to various residential locations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 70 lbs or more
• Ability to climb ladders, poles, and work at heights using safety equipment
• Technical knowledge of coaxial and Ethernet cabling
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
