Residential Counselor

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of participants, providing ongoing support, guidance, and role modeling
• Facilitate participant improvement in personal responsibility, social skills, and community living skills
• Monitor and administer medications as required
• Facilitate groups and provide local transportation for medical appointments
• Support participants in developing vocational and life skills to aid community reintegration

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Human Services
• Two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to provide client transport locally

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Services or a related field
• Experience working with adult populations living with mental illness
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
