About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple group home residences in Brooklyn and Queens, directing residential management systems and individualized program planning.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate non-nursing clinical and consultant team members, including hiring and performance management.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with State and Federal regulations, specifically OPWDD standards.
- Coordinate the activities of interdisciplinary teams to meet programmatic needs and service requirements.
- Provide managerial oversight and coverage for facilities during periods of vacancy or staff absence.
- Conduct investigations regarding personnel or program participant issues within the assigned region.
- Assist in the development of new residential facilities, including administrative systems and physical plant setup.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services (Master's degree preferred).
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in a residential group home setting.
- Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and field requirements.
- Qualified to perform QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) job duties.
- Valid New York State driver's license in good standing.
- Ability to make independent decisions and handle stressful situations tactfully.
