About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple group home residences in Brooklyn and Queens, directing residential management systems and individualized program planning.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate non-nursing clinical and consultant team members, including hiring and performance management.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with State and Federal regulations, specifically OPWDD standards.
  • Coordinate the activities of interdisciplinary teams to meet programmatic needs and service requirements.
  • Provide managerial oversight and coverage for facilities during periods of vacancy or staff absence.
  • Conduct investigations regarding personnel or program participant issues within the assigned region.
  • Assist in the development of new residential facilities, including administrative systems and physical plant setup.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in a residential group home setting.
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD regulations and field requirements.
  • Qualified to perform QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) job duties.
  • Valid New York State driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and handle stressful situations tactfully.

  • Experience managing multiple residential group homes simultaneously.
