Residential Conveyancer

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion
• Handle sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and shared ownership
• Investigate titles and prepare accurate reports
• Draft contracts, TR1/TP1s, completion statements, and other key documentation
• Drive transactions forward proactively while keeping clients and agents informed
• Manage exchange and completion with precision
• Handle post-completion work including SDLT and Land Registry submissions
• Maintain compliance with AML, ID, and source of funds requirements
• Manage WIP, billing, aged debt, and monthly fee targets
• Support business development initiatives and maintain referrer relationships

Requirements

• Proven experience running a residential conveyancing caseload
• Strong drafting and title review skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive and commercially aware mindset
• Strong communication and client care skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Competence with case management systems and IT

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with leasehold, new build, or complex titles
