Residential Carpenter

Responsibilities

• Perform rough framing including layout and framing of window and door openings
• Install windows, exterior doors, and interior doors
• Frame structural components including king studs, jack studs, headers, and blocking
• Install baseboard, casing, crown molding, paneling, and trim packages
• Assist with or complete cabinet and siding installation
• Interpret and build from blueprints and construction drawings
• Maintain high workmanship standards consistent with custom residential construction
• Work independently or with a crew while maintaining jobsite productivity and safety

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of high-end residential carpentry experience
• 3–5+ years finish carpentry experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of window and door framing and installation
• Experience installing casing, baseboard, crown molding, paneling, doors, windows, siding, and cabinets
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Must supply a full complement of carpentry tools, including specialty tools
• Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality required

Preferred Qualifications

• Stair installation experience is a plus
