Residential Aide

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors
• Monitor facility access by screening incoming visitors and verifying identification
• Conduct hourly facility tours and monthly apartment inspections to ensure safety
• Respond to security emergencies and monitor fire safety alarm panels
• Distribute program rules and regulations to residents and provide conflict resolution
• Maintain accurate logs of facility activities and prepare incident/accident reports
• Manage incoming calls and perform basic facility upkeep in the entry areas as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• CPR and First Aid certification (or eligibility)
• Ability to obtain F-02 Fire Guard License and F-80 Certification within six months of hire
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations
• Availability to work evening shifts (4pm - 12am) 5 days a week, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security or law enforcement experience
• Previous experience working in a shelter setting with families
• Valid Security Guard License
• Ability to speak Spanish
