Residential Aide

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors
• Monitor facility access and screen incoming visitors via identification verification
• Conduct hourly facility tours and monthly apartment inspections
• Monitor fire safety alarm panels and respond to facility emergencies or security incidents
• Distribute program rules and regulations to residents
• Provide conflict resolution and maintain a calm demeanor during crises
• Maintain accurate logbooks of facility activities and prepare incident/accident reports
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as sweeping entry areas and courtyards when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• CPR and First Aid certification (or eligibility)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm during crisis situations
• Ability to work on-call shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior security or law enforcement experience
• Previous experience working in a shelter setting with families
• F-80 and F-02 Licenses
• Ability to speak Spanish
