Resident Technical Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide standing supervision for the construction of civil and structural works in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.
• Oversee all aspects of project construction, including maintaining records of works, materials, and equipment on site.
• Attend meetings, keep minutes of discussions, and assist in coordinating contractor works with consultants and external parties such as utility companies.
• Assist consultants and clients in the supervision and quality assurance of on-site construction works.
• Ensure all installation methods and materials used comply with contract drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors to coordinate site works and highlight any discrepancies or irregularities to consultants.
• Ensure contractors maintain high standards of work safety, cleanliness, and site tidiness.

Requirements

• Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification.
• At least 10 years of site supervisory experience, preferably in educational, commercial, or related projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and geotechnical works.
• Experience with mid-rise structure projects, contiguous bored pile (CBP), precast, steel, ERSS, and piling.
