About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle resident admission, orientation, and evaluation processes according to established policies
- Conduct respectful intake interviews and assist with basic goal setting
- Monitor facility traffic, verify resident identification, and follow safety protocols
- Provide mediation in resident conflicts to prevent or resolve altercations
- Maintain accurate daily logs, occurrence reports, and program documentation
- Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with linen and laundry needs
- Liaise with internal teams and external agencies such as police or emergency services when required
- Monitor resident medication and tools in accordance with safety procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR (Level A or C)
- Demonstrated trauma-informed care and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook) and general computer databases
- Experience in frontline social service settings
