Resident Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Handle resident admission, orientation, and evaluation processes according to established policies
• Conduct respectful intake interviews and assist with basic goal setting
• Monitor facility traffic, verify resident identification, and follow safety protocols
• Provide mediation in resident conflicts to prevent or resolve altercations
• Maintain accurate daily logs, occurrence reports, and program documentation
• Perform light housekeeping duties and assist with linen and laundry needs
• Liaise with internal teams and external agencies such as police or emergency services when required
• Monitor resident medication and tools in accordance with safety procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR (Level A or C)
• Demonstrated trauma-informed care and de-escalation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook) and general computer databases
• Experience in frontline social service settings
