About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life through day-to-day facility operations
- Monitor and control entrance to the secure facility and supervise resident movement and rule compliance
- Perform intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents
- Conduct scheduled and random urinalysis testing, inspections, counts, and breath tests
- Perform pat-searches of residents and inspect belongings for contraband control
- Document disciplinary actions, maintain accurate shift reports, and perform data entry into community corrections software
- Store, monitor, and dispense resident medications following prescribed protocols
- Conduct physical grounds and facility safety checks to ensure security and sanitation
- Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with first responders when necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP)
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications within two weeks of hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet browser navigation
- Note: This position has female gender as a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field
- 6 months of experience working in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer placements)
