Resident Monitor I

Responsibilities

• Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life by managing day-to-day facility operations.
• Ensure program and facility safety by monitoring resident movement, conducting counts, and performing facility safety checks.
• Execute intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents.
• Perform scheduled and random urinalysis testing, inspections, and contraband control.
• Supervise resident activity, rule compliance, and work details to maintain facility cleanliness.
• Document disciplinary actions, incident reports, and medical problems accurately.
• Monitor and dispense resident medications following prescribed protocols.
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with first responders when necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass and maintain FBOP security clearances.
• Must obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications within two weeks of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet browser navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
• 6 months of experience working in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer placements).
