About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life by managing day-to-day facility operations.
- Ensure program and facility safety by monitoring resident movement, activity, and rule compliance.
- Perform intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents.
- Conduct security measures including urinalysis testing, inspections, shakedowns, and pat-searches.
- Document disciplinary actions, maintain accurate facility counts, and manage resident medication protocols.
- Monitor and control entrance to the secure facility and verify visitor identification.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and assist with meal service and food preparation when necessary.
- Utilize video and GPS surveillance technologies to ensure security and compliance.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP).
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler certifications within two weeks of hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet browser navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
- 6 months of experience working in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer placements).
