About the role

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life by managing day-to-day facility operations.
  • Ensure program and facility safety by monitoring resident movement and conducting regular security checks.
  • Perform intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents.
  • Conduct scheduled and random urinalysis testing, inspections, and contraband control.
  • Supervise resident activity, rule compliance, and work details to maintain facility cleanliness.
  • Document disciplinary actions, incident reports, and accurate facility counts.
  • Monitor and dispense resident medications following prescribed protocols.
  • Respond to emergency situations and maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure facility security.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP).
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within two weeks of hire.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
  • 6 months of experience working in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer placements).
