About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life by managing day-to-day facility operations.
- Ensure program and facility safety by monitoring resident movement and conducting regular security checks.
- Perform intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents.
- Conduct scheduled and random urinalysis testing, inspections, and contraband control.
- Supervise resident activity, rule compliance, and work details to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Document disciplinary actions, incident reports, and accurate facility counts.
- Monitor and dispense resident medications following prescribed protocols.
- Respond to emergency situations and maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure facility security.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP).
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
- Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within two weeks of hire.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
- 6 months of experience working in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer placements).
