About the role

Responsibilities

  • Guide and support residents in their transition back into community life by managing day-to-day facility operations.
  • Ensure program and facility safety by monitoring resident movement, activity, and rule compliance.
  • Perform intake, orientation, and discharge procedures for all residents.
  • Conduct security measures including scheduled urinalysis testing, inspections, shakedowns, and pat-searches.
  • Document disciplinary actions, maintain accurate facility counts, and manage resident medication protocols.
  • Monitor and operate video and GPS surveillance technologies to maintain facility control.
  • Assist with meal service and maintain facility cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with first responders and facility leadership as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to pass and maintain security clearances as required by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP).
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within two weeks of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within two weeks of hire.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and internet browser navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in criminal justice, social services, or a related field.
  • 6 months of experience in human services, criminal justice, or correctional systems (including internships or volunteer work).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
