Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all field engineering activities and related support operations
• Provide technical guidance regarding scope of work, schedules, procedures, and field construction problems
• Establish and maintain construction engineering quality control in the field
• Collaborate with construction management to ensure compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards
• Maintain close working relationships with project design engineering, client representatives, and contractors
• Monitor contractor performance regarding schedules and conformance to plans and specifications
• Maintain project control documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and change orders
• Make decisions regarding long-range planning, budgeting, work priorities, and personnel

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in construction supervision for large infrastructure and utilities relocation projects
• Substantial and recent work experience with infrastructure and utilities projects in the UAE
• In-depth knowledge of Dubai NOC procedures, commissioning, and various Government Authority specifications
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Proven leadership capability to manage senior-level responsibilities
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices
