Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction supervision of roads and infrastructure projects, including scope, schedules, and change management
• Monitor project progress to ensure compliance with budget and schedule requirements
• Coordinate with authorities and agencies for project approvals and service handovers
• Interface with contractors and subcontracts to ensure compliance with contract deliverables
• Review work to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and quality procedures
• Review and approve change orders while notifying project management of all modifications
• Manage client expectations and provide periodic progress updates
• Ensure all company rights and obligations are fulfilled throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduate experience in supervision and construction management of major roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects
• Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with industry standards and codes
• Knowledge of construction health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and computer skills
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the GCC region
• Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Proven ability to mentor staff and coordinate effectively with clients and stakeholders
