About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the performance of work on assigned construction contracts
- Review and coordinate daily work schedules with contractors
- Identify and resolve project-related issues and evaluate progress schedules
- Monitor contractor conformance and recommend corrective actions
- Perform construction inspection operations to ensure contract compliance
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs of all project-related activities
- Prepare field memoranda, letters, accident reports, and comprehensive reports
- Act as the Agency's on-site representative to coordinate with public and private sector stakeholders
- Supervise and train Inspectors and Junior Engineers
Requirements
- Experience supervising employees performing project management work on engineering or architectural projects
- Experience supervising construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more
- Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to complete DDC training)
- Must meet specific Civil Service criteria for Associate Project Manager title
