About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the performance of work on assigned construction contracts
  • Review and coordinate daily work schedules with contractors
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues and evaluate progress schedules
  • Monitor contractor conformance and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform construction inspection operations to ensure contract compliance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs of all project-related activities
  • Prepare field memoranda, letters, accident reports, and comprehensive reports
  • Act as the Agency's on-site representative to coordinate with public and private sector stakeholders
  • Supervise and train Inspectors and Junior Engineers

Requirements

  • Experience supervising employees performing project management work on engineering or architectural projects
  • Experience supervising construction projects valued at $1,000,000 or more
  • Baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to complete DDC training)
  • Must meet specific Civil Service criteria for Associate Project Manager title
