About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and perform the work on assigned construction contracts
- Review and coordinate daily work schedules with contractors
- Monitor contractor conformance and recommend corrective actions
- Perform construction inspection operations to ensure contract compliance
- Maintain accurate and detailed daily logs of all project-related activities
- Prepare field memoranda, letters, accident reports, and comprehensive reports
- Act as the Agency's on-site representative to coordinate with public and private sector representatives
- Supervise and train Inspectors and Junior Engineers
Requirements
- Permanent status in the Construction Project Manager title (reachable on Open Competitive Exam #3042 or #5058)
- High school diploma and 5 years of construction project management/inspection experience (min $300k per project)
- OR a baccalaureate degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management plus 1 year of relevant experience
- OR a valid license as a professional engineer, registered architect, or registered landscape architect
- ACI Concrete Field-Testing and OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to complete DDC training)
- Valid New York State motor vehicle driver license
- Authorization to work full-time in the United States
