Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of assigned construction packages, ensuring adherence to time, cost, and quality standards
• Supervise contractors to ensure works are constructed according to specifications and milestone dates
• Manage and direct the supervision team to conduct daily inspections of the works
• Maintain high levels of safety awareness and ensure contractor compliance with all health and safety obligations
• Administer FIDIC-based or standalone contracts effectively
• Resolve site issues and present progress updates to the client team
• Establish and implement Project Execution Plans, Health & Safety Plans, and Quality Control Plans
• Monitor site staff performance and manage technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, specifically managing large-scale projects
• Proven track record of overseeing complex building projects within the Middle East
• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices
• Strong leadership, team management, and project management skills
• Proficiency in FIDIC contract administration
• Excellent technical report writing and communication abilities
