Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of assigned construction packages, ensuring adherence to time, cost, and quality standards
• Supervise contractors to ensure works are constructed according to specifications and milestone dates
• Manage and direct the supervision team to perform daily site inspections
• Maintain high levels of safety awareness and ensure contractor compliance with all health and safety obligations
• Administer FIDIC-based or standalone contracts effectively
• Resolve site issues and present progress updates to the client team
• Establish and manage Project Execution Plans, Health & Safety Plans, and Quality Control Plans
• Monitor site staff performance and provide input for performance reviews
• Represent the company in client meetings and coordinate with project engineers and discipline heads

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering
• Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex building projects in the Middle East
• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices
• Strong expertise in FIDIC contract administration
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and manage multiple projects simultaneously
